It is with great pleasure to once again announce that the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company's Scholarship Foundation accepts applications from Company 2 members and their family members who will be entering college or university annually. Company 2 members who are already in college and have not previously been awarded this scholarship are also eligible to compete.
The purpose of our scholarship foundation is to annually recognize two deserving individuals for their selfless service, personal sacrifice and commitment to excellence by awarding each of them with a $1,000 scholarship to help defray the high costs associated with earning a college degree.
We strongly encourage all eligible Company 2 members, Company 2 family members, to apply for this generous scholarship award. The application process is as streamlined as possible, and is outlined in the 3-page application form that is available in the company mailbox marked scholarship or from Allen Colby applications require a copy of your most recent academic transcripts, two letters of recommendation, a 250-word essay, and a short interview. Please do not let these application requirements intimidate or deter you.
