On Friday evening, PVFC Crew 2 and PVRS found a hummingbird that would not fly with cobwebs on its head. Both crews took immediate action to get wildlife rehab advice and provided the hummingbird with sugar water to help revive it. After about 20 minutes of feeding the hummingbird, it was on its feet, and jumped up on FF Logan Knight's arm looking for more! The hummingbird was able to fly away on its on after 30 minutes. Great job by both PVFC Crew 2 and PVRS to help this little one out! ... See MoreSee Less
Glad it was able to fly away. I did this with one years ago but I think it had flown into a window. Had to keep it overnight and feed like you all did until could get it to a rehabber the next day. Don't know if it made it or not but the rehabber said generally they won't make it. They have such delicate systems.
