nbspAccidental Incident Involving Training Mannequin in PurcellvilledivnbspdivdivEarly Wednesday morning the Loudoun County Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Management FREM was notified that a Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company vehicle was observed traveling along a public roadway with a training mannequin attached to the rear of the vehicle. The Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company and the Loudoun County Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Management regret that the driver was unaware that the mannequin was attached to the vehicle and apologize to anyone who witnessed the incident. The Company and Loudoun County Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Management are working together to ensure errors like this do not occur again.divdivbrdivdivThe incident occurred following a drill earlier this week during which the mannequin dressed in firefighter gear was used for training. This morning a vehicle maintenance contractor arrived to transport the vehicle to a facility in Chantilly. The driver was unaware that the training mannequin had not been removed from the vehicle.
