House Fire in Leesburg

Mar 9, 2014

Early this morning (March 9th), units were dispatched to the 400 block of Lawford Drive for a house fire. The first arriving medic unit advised the structure was fully involved with two exposure structures being threatened. They requested a Level 1 RIT assignment and a second alarm. Engine and Truck 601 arrived shortly thereafter. After confirming that all residents had escaped from the house, they initiated an aggressive attack to protect the exposures and extinguish the bulk of the fire. Hand-lines, a Blitz-Fire, deck gun, and ladder pipe were all utilized in the attack.
