You guys are the best of the best! I will never forget three years ago, when you drove by my Grandson's house for their 3rd birthday. The twins were surprised and loved every minute of the show you put on. Lot's of firetrucks, ems , and other vehicles made their day. God be with you all and keep you safe. Celeste Everett.
Last night, Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company was honored to host the Ruck to Remember for the seventh year. This group marches 60 miles to D.C. to honor and remember fallen U.S. soldiers.
The definition of a ruck is a tightly packed crowd of people; in military terms, it’s also a pack, carrying everything with you from point A to point B.
On Memorial Day Monday, Ruck to Remember will complete it's annual 60-mile trek to Washington, D.C. to honor and remember those who died while serving.
They then returned to Arlington to go to Section 60 at Arlington National Cemetery. Section 60 is where the most recently deceased soldiers go to rest at the cemetery.

Summer is almost here!! According to the U.S. Fire Administration, U.S. fire departments respond to an average of 10,600 home and outdoor grill fires per year. Due to those fires, hospital emergency departments took in an estimated average of 19,700 people per year because of injuries associated with grills.
