PVFC responds to House Fire in Waterford

A full box alarm was sounded for a house fire just before 8PM, near the center of Historic Waterford.

Engine 605, and it’s tanker rounded a curve in the road they saw the house with flames coming from the chimney area.Tanker 605 connected to the engine as an attack line was taken in through the front door.

A tanker task was called for, along with up graded box assignment. A level 2 RIT was declared. As the 1st alarm assignment was still arriving. Engine 604 drafted from the creek in the center of town to supply the tankers.

The fire was climbing the walls into the attic with black smoke coming from the windows on the A and D sides. Tower 602 laddered the building, as members of engine 602 sent manpower to help 605 advance more hand lines in the front door of the home.
