Members of the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company were honored recently at the organization’s Annual Awards gathering, held at Trillium Gathering Place.
The Chief’s Award went to Chris Kermode, Assistant Chief, for his support of the company. Michael O’Brien, who has been a member of PVFC for many years and has served in many positions including Assistant Chief, was awarded the Jim Gutierez Award for his service.
Other awards included:
- Rookies of the year: Joseph Royhab and Alejandro Huet
- Firefighters of the year: Kaitlyn Tunder and Kevin Fisher
In addition, there were length of service awards which went to a number of Company members, including Donnie Embry, who has 35 years of service with PVFC.
